Teaching practice Phase 1- Week 1 (4/01/22-7/01/22)

Teaching practice is an integral component of a teacher training course. It grant student teachers,experience in the actual teaching and learning environment.

As part of  part of our two year B.Ed course (2020-2022 ),We teacher trainees from Sree Narayana Training College, Nedunganda went to Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Attingal as part of our school internship phase 1. The training period was scheduled from 04/01/2022 till march.

Every day I reached the school before 9.30 am. On the first day the concerned subject teacher gave us instructions and guidance. I was assigned to 8G(physics) and 8F ( Chemistry). I got 3 classes on the first week. I got opportunity to attend some of the classes with free period also. I took my first class on 05/01/22. The concerned teacher introduced me to the students as new teacher.I was nervous to take my first class but as I entered the class I feel more confident to face the students.Also I was little bit confused that my class will not long for a full period, but I am happy that I could take the classes full time. On the first class I forgot to rub the board, but from the next class onwards I kept more attention in rubbing the board. As there were a small number of students at the class it was easy to maintain discipline and to keep attention on each students. Day by day I tried to improve my classes. I feel more and more confident day by day. Another happy thing was the students of the school called and addressed me as teacher, while I was standing at the bus stop.
On friday there was parade for the NCC cadets of the school. It was great to see them marching along with the rhythm.
The first week of teaching practice was really an unforgettable one. It was a pleasant experience to catch up with my students and receive their love and affection. Their interest for the class itself a right motivation for me to prepare effectively for the class.

Week 2 (Phase 1 ) 10-01-22 to 15-01-22

The second week was very good and our teachers came for observation also in the same week.  First day I had 2 continuous classes in 8I. I was happy with the class since the students were satisfied with my class and they answered all the questions asked by me. Also in the afternoon we got the opportunity to serve food to the students under mid day meal program. It was a different experience for me.        On tuesday there was a strike all around Kerala, but I got opportunity to took classes for 8I students before the school closed. On the very next day our teachers Viji teacher and Chithra teacher came to the school for class observation. Both of them observed my classes together. But unfortunately my lap top stop working at the middle of my class, but I managed tge class. Both teachers gave me necessary suggestions to improve my class.
