It was the last week of our teaching practice phase 2. The week was full of programs. On Monday the school celebrated the 75th independence day. We also got the opportunity to participate in the programs. The function started by offering flowers to Gandhi statue, followed by it the headmaster hoisted the flag. Independence day message was given by the headmaster, representatives from LP, UP and HS sections.   There was independence day rally by the SPC and JRC cadets of the school. After that there was variety of cultural programs by the students. On tuesday there was a quiz program based on freedom struggle. Many students participated in the quiz. On the same day I have taken my innovative lesson to class 9 students. On thursday I have completed the lessons in 8th and 9th class. I...

The sixth week was filled with many programs. It was a busy week for us.  On monday the school commemorated the 'Hiroshima- Nagasaki day'. There was special assembly and inthe assembly the students took anti war pledge. There was variety of programs by the high school students. There was speech, group song, dance and poem recitation by the students. The head master gave the students anti war message. On tuesday there was holiday for Muharam. On wednesday our general teacher came for observation. She gave us very good comments. On thursday our optional teacher came for observation. I took classes using model. Teacher provided me with excellent comment. On the same day we planned for drawing competition as part of independence day celebrations. We have conducted the competition on friday.The students took part in the competition with enthusiasm. ...

On the fifth week there was only 3 working days due to the heavy rain. I had conducted achievement test to the students of 9 F. As there was holidays the students got enough time to study. I was happy seeing their results. They have performed well in the test. On thursday and friday I got enough periods to complete the lesson plans. A new student joined the school and he was in my class 8C. I got the opportunity to welcome the student to the class. I have also taken the classes to impart life skills to the students as part of my project work. I am planning to conduct a poster making competition on Road safety to the students. As a part of it I have asked the students to make posters and bring it on the next week. On friday there was a program of school radio. The students presented some stories and songs.

On the fourth week the school conducted some programs. The school organized special speech on Kargil vijay diwas and also the death anniversary of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. There was a holiday on thursday due to Karkidakavavu.  On friday there was special assembly in the school. It was to celebrate the nature conservation day. In order to celebrate, the science club of the school started a tree planting program named Asokavani. Asoka plant was handed over to senior teacher by vice principal.  The students also took a pledge to protect nature. The school has a school radio. We got the opportunity to hear the radio program on Vaikam Muhammad Basheer's Premalekhanam. This week also we couldn't finish more lesson plans as we got a few free periods. As a whole the week was ok with some interesting programs.
